The Coeur d’Alene area is gorgeous. We could go on and on about its glittering lake—I mean, the Coeur d’Alene lake is a great lake for boating–and the views with the green sloped or snow covered mountains depending on the time of year. Needless to say, we at Lake Escapes Boat Rentals love it here. And it’s not just geographically beautiful. If you’re considering visiting, we suggest checking out the local culture as well. Maybe take in some art while you’re exploring.

Coeur d’Alene’s 2nd Friday Monthly Art Walk

Since the weather’s starting to get nicer, we picked something that can be enjoyed both outside and inside. After renting a wake boat or pontoon for a day or two, take some time to explore Coeur d’Alene by investigating the ArtWalk that happens the second Friday of every month.

What is the ArtWalk: The community opens the streets of downtown where you can stroll around and enjoy locally and nationally acclaimed artists. Whether you like oil paintings, photography, or even music, there’s something for you to see.

So come find new artists to love and enjoy the vibe of downtown Coeur d’Alene. It’s FREE to anyone who wants to check out the artist’s work since this event is sponsored by STCU (Spokane Teacher’s Credit Union).

Hop on over to the Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance website for a tour map that includes galleries, studios, stores and even supporting restaurants.

(If you’re wanting something more kid interesting for a way to explore Coeur d’Alene, consider using the Mudgy & Millie Book which guides you to find a moose in town!)
