Schweitzer Mountain Resort is kicking off the 2017 Idaho Championship Slopestyle, the Smoking Aces Tour, this Saturday, February the 25th.
Either competing or watching, this is an amazingly fun time. Schweitzer Mtn is at the vanguard of slopestyle and terrain park courses in the Inland Northwest. Slopestyle, if you’re unfamiliar is “a snowboarding or skiing competition in which participants perform tricks and jumps on a sloping course with multiple ramps and obstacles…” (Meriam-Webster.com) (Ha! We found an official definition. Makes us sound smart, right =))
So, the 2017 Smoking Aces Tour is kicked off at one of the mountains featured in recent major ski films by Poor Boyz Productions and Level 1 Films. In the region, Schweitzer Mountain Resort is among the top of the biggest and best terrain parks. This event should highlight the beautiful riding that Schweitzer Mountain Resort has to offer.
The courses will cater to every skill level and age. (Skiers and Snowboarders alike. Divisions: 13 & Under, 14 & Over, Women’s, and Open)
