EEEK! We’ve all heard how used boats can be money pits. You have to be extremely careful in buying a boat used.
That’s why looking at rental company used boats isn’t always a bad idea. We here at Lakes Escapes, for example, keep exceptionally clean and maintained boats. It’s just better for business because, if a boat breaks down, we lose money. Period.
Because of this, all of our boats have seen multiple full fluid changes PER season just to make sure oil is fresh and no water has entered the out drive.
Plus, if ANY issue comes up, we replace the part immediately because we know “band-aid” fixing is a recipe for disaster. It’s worth making sure things get repaired correctly the FIRST time.
