If you’ve read any of our other posts, you know we love to highlight just about any fun activity in and around the Coeur d’Alene area. Of course, we lean toward CDA wake surf or water ski rentals, but there are a plethora of other really great things to do, so we can’t just keep it to the water sports all the time. This week, we’d like to point out the 40 acre alpaca ranch you can check out or even stay at!

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch

Like we just said, this is a 40 acre ranch that you can visit that’s only 15 minutes from the gorgeous Coeur d’Alene downtown area. They breed alpacas and produce luxurious, high-quality fibers for yarn and such.

However, they also give guided tours where you can visit with the alpacas, mini-horses, donkeys, llamas, sheep, and goats. The alpacas are friendly, intelligent animals and you can enter their pens to say hello.

You might also get the chance to see wild turkeys, deer, elk, and moose.

Also at the ranch is a 100 year old, two bedroom cottage that you can rent as a get-a-way through Airbnb. This might be the perfect family vacation spot.
