Specifics about the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon:

As already stated, this race is in Coeur d’Alene Idaho in early summer. If you haven’t been to this Idaho gem, it’s a gorgeous place, particularly when everything is in bloom and the trees are especially green. If you have the time, we encourage you to hang out for a few days before or after the race. There are numerous forests and parks to explore, along with the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes and the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course’s floating green if you’re into golfing. Oh, and did we mention Lake Coeur d’Alene? You might think about renting a boat for a day to explore 😉 Now, about the race. It starts with a 1.2-mile swim in Lake Coeur d’Alene. Then there’s the 56-mile bike portion that boasts over 3400ft of elevation gain. To finish the triathlon, the run loops along the shores of the lake twice for just over 13 miles of running. Also, if you’re really into the triathlon scene, this year’s Ironman 70.3 in Coeur d’Alene offers 40 slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupo, New Zealand!
